Accidentally Married

Branch Fifty Nine

Jessica, Leslie, and James were driven around by Ivan until they got a place that Jessica both loved and thought that the rent was reasonable.

“Are you ready to sign the papers now or would you want to discuss with Mr. Delgado first?” James asked pulling out the document file from his bag.

Leslie had countless times told Jessica that the price of the place was a chicken change compared to the wealth of the family she was married to.

“I would sign it now,” Jessica said.

She felt uneasy about signing such big documents but it was an investment. She would work ten times harder and pay him back before they went on with the divorce. There was no way she would free-load off him.

“Do you by any chance know a good decorator who also does construction? I would like to redecorate and do a little construction work with the place” Jessica asked as she penned down her signature.

Xavier was the one paying but her name was on the contract. She felt proud of this moment. A dream that seemed impossible because of her birth and family circumstances became possible because she was dumped on her wedding day.

“Yes, I do and I can recommend one to you. I would have her call you tomorrow so you can discuss” James said happily.

“Is she your wife by any means?” Leslie asked jokingly.

“Was I too obvious?” James asked putting his hand over his mouth to conceal his teeth that were in full display.

“Yes you were,” Jessica said with a smile putting the cap of the pen back on and dropping it on the document.

She felt good to see that love still lived and that a husband would readily recommend his wife. The money could be a driving factor but it was heartwarming to see.

“The money is not leaving the family now is it?” Leslie teased.

“Thank you ma’ams,” James said blowing his head.

“You were really nice and helpful today. I would love to treat you to lunch if you don’t mind.” Jessica suggested.

“I have another meeting with someone. I am sorry to decline” James announced.

“It’s fine. I would have a very lovely lunch with Mrs. Delgado” Leslie said hooking her hand in Jessica’s hand.

“Thank you,” James said once again moving out.

“At least let us drop you off” Jessica called after him.

“No don’t bother, I called a Uber already” James called from the door.

“It’s a date with your wife isn’t it?” Leslie called back.

“Yes, thank you,” James said as he left.

“Let’s go have something to eat then,” Leslie said pulling Jessica out of the car.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Take us to a new and popular spot for lunch,” Leslie told Ivan as they entered.

“Yes ma’am,” he said as he started the car. The Jones family owned a series of big and small coffee shops and restaurants around Chiachester City.

Ivan drove them to one of the best lunch places owned by the Jones. It was a new place and was bubbling with life. As soon as Jessica and Leslie entered the place all eyes fell on them and then whispers began.

“Oh, my God! Mrs. Delgado” Alicia said.

“Alicia” Leslie whispered into her ears when she saw the confusion on Jessica’s face.

“Oh nice to meet you”

“Baby, do you think we would get the money today?” Emma asked pulling on her jacket.

She was going out for lunch with her friends. She was going to brag about her wedding to them and she needed to be sure they were going to be using the venue she chose. If she bragged and they later did not use the venue it would be a shame for her.

“I can not promise but I would try to make sure I get it soon,” Burke said holding her hand.

“Soon? When is it soon? Do you want me to be embarrassed in front of my friends?” Emma asked.

“What do your friends have to do with this? I am the one who you are getting married to and I don’t care where and how we do it. I just want to marry you” Burke said.

“You don’t care about my friends or my reputation? What would they say about me? I settle for the crumbs of Jessica.” Emma said with spite.

The reason she went after Burke was that she could not stand that Jessica was happy. She just hated her and wanted to keep her in check.

“You would get that money and I would have my dream wedding and my dream house,” Emma said removing her hands from him.

She turned and picked up her bag and phone from the chair behind her.

“I would never settle for anything less. I don’t care how you get the money. Even if it means you have to grovel at the feet of Jessica. I DON’T CARE” She said and then stormed out.

Burke sat down in one of the chains close by. Was she going to be okay if she went to grovel at the feet of his ex? What was he going to tell her?

‘Hey, Jessica remember the girl I ditched you for? She is pregnant now and we have to do a wedding before she begins to show. She wants a dream wedding at the hall in the hotel your husband’s family owns. Can I have the hall for free and also can I have a house in the same neighborhood as you live? My wife wants to live as a high claw even though she can’t afford it. Even though I can’t afford it and may not be able to afford it ever’

Emma ordered an Uber to meet her friends at a new popular brunch cafe. As she entered the cafe she saw Ms. Alicia who was popular for her dresses and clothing line sitting with an unfamiliar face and Jessica.

Emma felt her blood boil as she squeezed a portion of her jacket in her hands. Jessica looked too happy as she laughed at what Alicia had just said.

Did Emma’s attempt at ruining Jessica’s life even do any damage? Instead, she was pushed to become a dream woman. She has seen the post she made on Instagram regarding the clothing line a day back and now she was sitting in the company of the high class even though she was a lowlife.

Emma did not know when her legs made her move fast toward the three women having the time of their life. She got to the table and within the blink of an eye emptied the content in a large cup onto the lap of Jessica.
