Chapter 322 Leaving Cleanly
As Shannon spoke, tears silently streamed down her face.
Brendon furrowed his brow and glared at Dylan. “Dylan, don’t push it too far! Just because Shannon is innocent doesn’t mean you can bully her!”
Dylan pouted silently.
Brendon was blind to the truth!
“Brendon…”
Ranita’s heart had turned to ice and she no longer felt anything. She grabbed some alcohol wipes and placed them on the back of her hand.
“Let’s go after this,” she said without blinking an eye as she removed the needle from her arm, causing a bright red blood to flow out.
“Ranita! Your hand is bleeding!” Dylan chased after her but quickly returned with something in his hands before running out again in a hurry.
Brendon had good eyesight.
On that snow-white bed sheet lay a drop of Ranita’s blood like a plum blossom on winter snow. It was blindingly bright. Brendon wanted to chase after them but he had no reason to do so now.
“Brendon…” Shannon saw how lost he looked and felt sorry for him even though she hated Ranita inside, “Are you worried about Ranita? You should go check on her; I think she might be angry.”
“It’s fine.” Brendon rubbed Shannon’s head with his hand, “Her problems are not my concern anymore.”
“Really?” Shannon widened her eyes and pouted, “But… isn’t Ranita pregnant? What about the baby inside of her? If you really care about Ranita, then go after them. Don’t worry about me; I’ve already talked to Carlee… I’ll have an abortion once I’m feeling better.”
As she spoke, Shannon began tearing up again.
She looked at Brendon innocently while sniffing pitifully, “Although I’m reluctant, I’m willing to make this decision for your sake, Brendon… It’s just that every time I think about how innocent the child is, my heart breaks even more.”
Shannon brought up the child which finally caught Brendon’s attention.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
He pursed his lips together tightly, “Don’t overthink it…Ranita and I are already divorced so there’s no need.”
As for that child… judging by how Ranita acted earlier, she probably won’t keep it anyway.
“Brendon… How could this happen? Didn’t you say you didn’t want a divorce before? What happened?” Shannon paused, trying to hold back her smile, her eyes full of suspicion. “Does Ranita have someone else she likes? I see her getting close with Mr. Webster and Steve…”
This sentence hit Brendon hard.
Brendon’s lips were cold and his eyes were filled with anger.
“You don’t need to worry about these things.”
“Okay… I won’t.” Shannon obediently nodded, holding onto the man’s arm nervously as she asked, “Brendon… Can you give me a chance? I really don’t want to leave this child behind. Can it stay?”
Brendon remained silent as he looked at Shannon.
They shouldn’t keep this child; it would be a great harm to Ranita.
“Shannon…” Just as Brendon was about to refuse, his phone suddenly rang. It was Caleb calling him about some issues with the Qaesburg project that needed his attention.
“Brendon, if you have something urgent to attend to, then go ahead. Carlee will take care of things here!”
“Sorry Shannon. Take care.” Brendon hurriedly left and flew back to Qaesburg.
Ranita moved back into the apartment and everything related to Brendon was taken away from there.
It was clean as if he had never been there before.
