Chapter 280 Seal Print
Brendon went back and there was a noise at the door.
“You’re back,” Ranita snapped out of her reverie. In fact, she wasn’t thinking about anything, just daydreaming with an empty mind.
Now she didn’t want to think about anything.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
She can maintain calmness, having exhausted all her patience and courage.
“Um…” Brendon sat down beside her and lightly squeezed her hand. “I don’t know if Shannon will come, sorry.”
Ranita was smiling with her eyes curved.
Only, eyes and smile were all cold.
“She gave you the watch.” Ranita shook off his hand, took out the watch from the box and helped Brendon put it on. “Let’s go.”
On the way, Ranita kept staring out of the car window in a daze.
“Ranita, what are you looking at?” Brendon curiously leaned over and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, the sudden intimacy making Ranita’s body stiffen a bit.
“I didn’t see much,” Ranita paused and explained, “I’ve been busy these past few years and haven’t had a chance to really look at Kurima. I didn’t realize so many tall buildings had been built without me noticing.”
Before, she could only see Brendon in her eyes and didn’t pay attention to anything else outside.
“Yeah! It changes every year… That’s the Stuart’s Corp building, can you see it?” Brendon pointed to one of the buildings in a row, with the Stuart’s Corp sign particularly prominent.
Stuart’s Corp had grown significantly under Brendon’s leadership since it was handed over from Wyatt. Brendon had a good eye and precise investment strategies, which had contributed to the current success of Stuart’s Corp.
“I see,” Ranita nodded, trying to avoid Brendon, but he held onto her waist. He leaned in closer and his lips brushed against her ear, “Why have you been avoiding me?”
“No…”
“Still denying it?” Brendon’s arm exerted more force, causing her slender waist to ache and the formal dress to become wrinkled.
Ranita was forced to lean against him, with the warm breath of his breathing filling her ears.
Eye contact.
Ranita hadn’t reacted yet when he kissed her. Unlike before, Brendon kissed her hard and urgently, and their lips collided with a bite that left a mark on her lip.
The smell of rust wafted in.
But soon, she was engulfed in even more warmth.
Ranita’s lips were kissed until they tingled, and her whole body felt like a puddle of water, soft against him.
“Let go of me,” Ranita blushed and protested in a hoarse voice, “The driver is here.”
His low laughter rang in her ears, “Can’t hear it, can’t see it.”
“That’s not the way… My dress is all wrinkled now!” Not only her dress, but Brendon’s suit also showed some creases from their passionate encounter.
What was even more embarrassing for Ranita was that her lips were a bit sore. She took out a makeup mirror and took a look, noticing a cut on her swollen red lips.
The atmosphere became even more ambiguous.
The next second, her chin was gently lifted and Brendon leaned in to look at her lips. “They’re red,” he said.
Ranita reached out and slapped him, her face turning red. “Look at what you’ve done!”
Brendon held her fingers and played with the tips delicately. He leaned in to kiss her again as Ranita struggled to catch her breath. Then he whispered in her ear, “Why don’t you bite me back?”
Perhaps out of selfishness or revenge, Ranita took the initiative to lean in and bit his lip.
She didn’t exert much force, just leaving a shallow tooth mark.
“Soft and powerless!” Brendon held her waist and pulled her onto his lap, taking control and deepening the kiss.
Ranita felt a warm sensation in her heart and her skin turned bright red as she was kissed.
“Who says I don’t have strength!” Ranita retorted, angered. She opened her mouth and nibbled on his slender neck, leaving behind a vivid mark.
