Chapter 659
Chapter 659
Yoel took a moment to catch his breath from laughing too much and asked, “Have you spoken to Sage since she went to Yathein?”
Jace’s temper immediately disappeared upon hearing Sage’s name, and he hummed yes in response.
“Oh yeah?” Yoel was surprised. “Sage contacted you? Really? Don’t lie to me.” Jace responded, “She added me on WhutsApp.” “What?” Yoel was dumbfounded. “Sage added you? On WhutsApp?”
Jace hummed yes in response.
Yoel exclaimed, “What a miracle. Ever since that incident, I’ve tried calling her so many times and sending her so many texts, but she’d rarely respond to me. This is a double standard!” “That’s right.” Jace smiled satisfyingly.
Yoel scoffed lightly. “You must be ecstatic, aren’t you? Finally, some progress. However, I wouldn’t be too excited if I were you. You don’t know if she’d really get back together with you yet.”
“I know that. I’m trying my best,” said Jace
Yoel stopped joking around upon hearing how serious Jace was. They exchanged a few more sentences before they ended the call.
Yoel was unsure of his feelings at that moment.
He was sure happy for Jace, but at the same time, he felt bitter. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Yoel had always been such an experienced player in that field, and there was no such thing as an unattainable woman. Sage was an exception. She rejected him not once, not twice, to the point that
Yoel started doubting his life choices.
Yoel felt that even though the pair had broken up, there was still an invisible attraction pulling them in slowly, a bubble surrounding both Jace and Sage that was seemingly impenetrable.
Maybe it was time for Yoel to let go.
“Brother Rich!”
Melody ran up the hill in her uniform, her face filled with anxiety, “Jace’s father, that Lucas guy, is here. Aunt Freya had gotten into an argument with him!”
“He is really here.” Yoel’s expression shifted in an instant. “Let’s go. We’ll kick him out together!” Jace finished reading the information about Peter and cleaned it up before sending it to Sage. He also added, (If you have time, let’s talk about this over the phone.) Sage was still watching the fashion show, she replied, (I’m outside, talk later.]
Jace was pleased, even though it was just a simple and brief interaction. He gripped his phone and read the texts over and over again as his mind drifted back to memories of Sage.
Jace had never missed someone so much in his whole life. That feeling was bitter yet sweet and heart- wrenching. How he wished he could fly over to her at that very moment.
He had so much he wanted to tell her, but he was not able to send them via text, nor was he able to express them over the phone.
He could only transfer his feelings into words on a piece of paper… There goes another anonymous letter with a stamp being sent to the Rosa Garden.
