Chapter 612
Chapter 612
Chapter 612 The sudden loud commotion left everyone frozen in their seats, including the cabin crew.
Everyone exchanged looks, but were all equally confused. Outside of the windows, there was a flock of big birds flying past the plane, and soon everyone on board started to smell something being roasted. “Oh no,” The pilot’s face turned green, and immediately went into the cockpit. His dashboard readings showed both engines had stopped working. It sometimes only takes one second for an accident to happen. The co-pilot that was flying the plane, Johnson, had not encountered something like this before either, and was starting to panic. He reported in English, “Captain, the flock of birds suddenly intruded, speed was too fast, they might have crashed into the engine of the plane…” The pilot looked stern, and exchanged his seat with the co-pilot, taking over the control of the plane. He immediately connected with the control tower, and was trying to find out the closest airport to land.
The incident happened a little too suddenly, not just the passengers, even the flight attendants were caught off guard. No one knew what happened except that the flight was descending at an unusual speed.
Beneath the plane, was the busiest city of Yathein. Skyscrapers flocked the city, and the population was dense.
“What happened?” “Why is the plane going down?” “Is anything breaking down? I smelled roasted meat, were the birds crashed and burnt?” The passengers in the economy and business cabin were all buzzing in questions, while the flight attendants were busy comforting them, although the efforts were pretty much in vain. There was chaos in all the cabins.
In the first class cabin, Abby and Allie were still confused.
Sage frowned, “Oh no!”
“What happened, ma’am?”
Allie stood up, and said, “The plane is descending, is there a problem?” “The flock of birds just now…” Sage saw the temperature drop as she said, “…crashed into the engine of the plane.”
If she guessed it right, the birds that crashed into the engine had damaged the engine on the spot, the plane lost its thrusting forces in the air and could only drop downwards.
Abby and Allie’s iris contracted in fear. Even though they did not know how to fly a plane, they knew well enough how to drive a car. A
stopped engine and its implication was something they could imagine for.
If the engine malfunctioned, the plane could not continue flying anymore, and of course it will only fall, and fall, until…
Abby looked down from the window, he could see the office towers beneath, and his eyes were widened, “We are dropping faster and faster, if the plane really is falling, then…”
It would be a nightmare.
Not only to the 300 passengers on flight, but also the people in those office towers below! Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Sage, who usually was pretty composed in all situations, also started to turn pale, and her heart was pounding hard in her chest.
The other cabins were in total chaos.
“This was an air crash!”
“I thought planes were safe! Why did this happen…” “Which airline is this! I would like to make a complaint! How incompetent is the pilot!” “I did not spend this money to get myself killed on this plane, you guys owe me an explanation!”
The flight attendant’s consoling remarks were all useless, but all they could say was a repeated “Please do not panic, and please have faith in us. Please trust the pilots’ professional skills….”
Meanwhile, in the cockpit, the control tower had found an alternate airport for landing, which was only a few miles away. However, the pilot was still looking tensed, because even if it was only miles away from where they were, without the thrusting force, they could not even land the plane safely.
Right at that very moment, a stream of blue caught the pilot’s eye. The pilot quickly decided and informed the control tower that he would land in the sea.
