The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2257

In the study, Grant sat poised at his desk, focused on writing calligraphy.

His handwriting was bold and majestic.

"Sir, Justin has been discharged from the hospital," Clarice said as she recalled Arnold's actions, seething with frustration. "That Larson guy is really annoying. Earlier at the hospital, he slapped Justin for Bella's sake and even shoved me! Is he even a man? What kind of person behaves like that?"

Grant smiled faintly and laid out a fresh sheet of paper. "What's wrong? He hit my brother, and now you feel sorry for him?"

"No, I just think he's meddling too much. I'm worried it might disrupt your plans," Clarice said, her eyes darkening. "With someone like him constantly stirring things up and agitating Justin, it could awaken his buried feelings for Bella. If this continues, Justin may really become curious about her again."

"Tonight, get in contact with this person," Grant said, pulling out a file from the drawer and placing it on the desk.

Clarice hurried over, picking it up. Her brow furrowed. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

"A member of Overcast? But that organization disbanded long ago. Why are you looking for this person?"

Grant's eyes narrowed slightly. "Keep going through the file."

Clarice turned a few more pages. When she saw a photo of the man, but a familiar face stared back at her, leaving her shocked. "Arnold?! He was part of Overcast?"

"He looks familiar, doesn't he? I was surprised too when I first saw the photo," Grant said, his eyes flashed with amusement. "But that's not Arnold. His name is Kairos Valen. He was a key member of Overcast. Back then, he was Asher's right-hand man and also his first love."

Clarice's eyes filled with admiration. "Sir... You're incredible! How did you even know about this person?"

"I once attempted to dismantle and take over Overcast. If it hadn't been for Asher stepping in at the last minute to save the situation, Overcast would have been mine already," Grant said with a trace of resignation, letting out a sigh. "Asher outmaneuvered me in that fight. I had to concede."

Clarice sneered. "Hmph, but he can't win forever. This time, you'll make sure he loses horribly,"

"At the time, I thought Kairos would be Asher's weak point. I didn't expect him to be so ruthless, going so far to even kill his own lover."

Grant carefully placed his pen down and picked up the freshly drawn calligraphy. "I wonder

if Arnold will be his weak point this time. I'm curious, so I want to test it out."

Clarice, who had been molded by Grant's training, quickly caught on to his meaning.

"I understand. I'll make arrangements tonight."

"Thank you for your efforts."

"For you, sir, I would go through fire and water." Clarice bowed deeply and exited the study.

Grant's face was pale and his eyes cold. He picked up a lighter and set fire to his newly

written calligraphy, watching it burn to ashes.

The paper transformed into flickering flames, dancing like ghosts in his eyes-reflecting both the underworld and hell itself.
