My Toyboy 96
Freddie was flattered.
Quilton Palace was the most famous hotel in Betrico. The least was usually only those with special status could make reservations. It was said that the grand feast consisted of 108 dishes,
“Thank you for the treat, Ms. Hennent, Freddie said, nodding and bowing. He nudged Cynthia and added. “Hurry up and thank Ms. Bennett. Quilton Palace isn’t easy to get into. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons. There must be other big shots accompanying Whitney to the party”
When Cynthia was about to say something, Whitney interrupted. “Quilton Palace isn’t suitable for young people like Cynthia
The atmosphere was slightly awkward; Freddie had not expected Whitney to refuse to bring Cynthia along. He thought, “It seems she’s still unsatisfied and trying to make things difficult for Cynthia NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Unexpectedly, Whitney took out a gold–embossed invitation. “Cynthia probably dislikes these business socials. Here’s an invitation to the Sullivan family’s daughter’s birthday party. It’s better for young people; Betrico’s noble families will probably attend. Go make friends, Whitney suggested.
After placing the invitation directly into Cynthia’s hand, Whitney picked up her bag and walked out. When door, she turned and said. “By the way, please order a bouquet of lilies for Ms. Sullivan.”
There was almost no chance for Cynthia to refuse. Freddie also hurried out with Whitney.
she reached the
As he walked past Cynthia, he patted her shoulder and said, “Cynthia, it looks like you’ve passed the Bennett family test. Ms. Bennett intends to integrate you into Betrico’s circle. I think highly of you, the future Mrs. Bennett.” With that, he left.
Cynthia looked at the invitation in her hand, feeling complicated. She still felt that there was more to it. She opened the invitation–there was only an address on it. However, the address looked familiar to her. She wondered, The Sullivan residence on Cloudpeak Road? Isn’t that Naomi’s home?
Naomi, Cynthia’s childhood friend since kindergarten, grew up in a large house with a butler and housekeepers. She lost her parents at a young age and was raised by the butler until Grade 11 when her father finally came to find her. It turned out that Naomi was the illegitimate daughter of the Sullivan family, one of the four prestigious families in Betrico.
The Sullivan family, though small in number, had a very complicated relationship.
Gunther Sullivan, the patriarch of the Sullivan family, had two sons–Colton Sullivan and Aaron Sullivan
Colton had a marriage alliance with Lydia Sexton, who was Celine and Tommy’s aunt. However, they hadn’t had a child in over ten years, which made Gunther anxious.
Later, Colton revealed to Gunther that he had a daughter named Naomi from a youthful romantic encounter. She had been raised elsewhere. In Grade 11, the Sullivan family acknowledged her and added her to the family registry.
Lydia was enraged by the sudden appearance of the illegitimate daughter. However, since she hadn’t had a child in over ten years, she had no choice but to swallow her anger and watch as Cunther took Naomi back to the Sullivan residence.
However, one month after Naomi returned to the Sullivan residence, Lydia unexpectedly became pregnant at the age of 40, having pulled herself together by then.
Lydia had made things difficult for Naomi at every turn. She sent Naomi back to Roncrity, claiming that she needed to care for herself during her pregnancy and didn’t want to spoil Naomis mood. However, Naomi had been happy at the time and ended up spending a few more years in Roncrity.
After Cynthia and Filip had been “married,” Gunther became seriously ill. The Sullivan family took Naomi back home, and
she later studied abront.
Naomi had returned three days ago and invited Cynthia, saying he had flown to Roncrity to see her. However, Cynthia had been feeling down for a while and didn’t want Naomi to worry, so she found an excuse to decline the invitation. “Maybe [ can see her if I go there today, Cynthia thought. She deliberately did not call Naomi so she could surprise the latter.
Cynthia then ordered a bouquet of lilies and took a taxi to the Sullivan residence. It was already evening when she arrived. Four bodyguards in black suits stood at the Sullivan residence’s gate, and everyone had to show an invitation.
With her invitation in hand, Cynthia naturally entered. Once inside the gate, it was a whole new world. There was a huge Clusia–style garden with a pavilion, a bridge, waterfalls, rockeries, and a huge courtyard.
The courtyard had been meticulously decorated, with trees adorned in delicate lights and balloons. Several long Friyxian dining tables were set up, filled with various exquisite desserts.
Servers in tuxedos were walking around with wine trays, and a famous band in the entertainment industry was singing.
Many guests had already arrived. They were scattered in groups across every corner of the courtyard, talking and laughing or enjoying the beautiful scenery.
It was too big in there, and Cynthia knew no one. Finally, she made a phone call to Naomi.
“Babe, do you miss me?” Naomi’s calm voice came from the other end of the phone.
Cynthia smiled and asked, “Where are you?”
Naomi sounded bored as she said, “I’m at home. Something is happening at home today, and my dad didn’t allow me to go out for fear that I would cause trouble for him. I’m so bored.
Cynthia said calmly, “Come downstairs.”
Naomi did not hear clearly, asking, “What?”
“Come downstairs and meet me at the entrance,” Cynthia replied
“You came to my place?” Naomi asked in surprise. She jolted out of bed and went straight downstairs in her pajamas, attracting people’s attention along the way.
Someone asked, “Who is she? Why is she dressed like that to attend Ms. Nina Sullivan’s birthday party?”
Another answered, “Don’t you know? She’s Naomi, the Sullivan family’s illegitimate daughter, Nina’s cousin. She’s a true tomboy, or so the legend goes.”
One marveled and said, “I think she’s quite handsome, even in her pajamas. Why does she look more handsome than a guy?”
One remarked, “Yeah, I think so too. It turns out that one can look handsome regardless of gender. I want to call her my hubby. Besides, I think she smells good!”
Someone responded, “Don’t act crazy. Naomi is the unfavored illegitimate daughter of the Sullivan family. The main branch of the family already has a son, and I hear Mrs. Sullivan can’t stand her. She might even be thrown out one day.”
Naomi ignored the gossiping women and trotted to the entrance. She saw Cynthia standing in the doorway with a bouquet
of lilies.
Surprised, Naomi quickly ran over and stood before Cynthia, asking, “Why are you here?”
Cynthia tossed her hair and held out her arms with a charming smile, saying, “It’s been a while. Can we hug?*
