Chapter 97 :A little Bit Romantic
On the way back to the Gavyn’s Villa, Rex had been wondering which part of him was inferior to a dog. Why did Wendy think that a dog was cuter than him?
As soon as they got home before the two of them entered the room, they were stopped by the servants in the courtyard. “Young Master, bad news. Old Master fainted.”
“What?” In a hurry, Rex handed the dog to Wendy and followed the servant into the house.
Wendy was a little scared. She held the dog and was about to walk into the room, but she was stopped outside by servants.
“Mrs. Gavyn, you’d better not go in.”
Wendy’s doubts grew even heavier as she asked, “Why?”
As soon as she finished speaking, Rex’s scream came from the room. Her heart tightened, and she threw the dog to the servant before desperately rushing into the room.
She was completely stunned.
Rex’s hands and face were covered in blood while Jackson grabbed him like a maniac. The entire family doctor pressed down on him and injected him with a sedative.
“Mr. Gavyn, let me dress your wound.”
It was only then that Rex slowly turned to look at Wendy. This woman must have been scared out of her wits.
“I’ll deal with the wound myself. Doctor, please carry my dad back to his room for me.”
“Okay.”
Rex licked the blood from the corner of his mouth, pressed down on the wound on his hand, and looked at Wendy. “Come here.”
Wendy looked at the wounds and felt an inexplicable pain in her heart. She walked over with tears in her eyes. “Does it hurt?”
Rex gritted his teeth. “It doesn’t hurt. Help me bandage it.”All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
“Okay, the first aid kit… Where is the first-aid kit?”
Rex pointed in a direction and Wendy immediately got up to get the first-aid kit. She opened it in a hurry and tears flowed uncontrollably from the corners of her eyes.
“Don’t panic.” Rex held her hand, his eyes firm. “I’m fine.”
Wendy squeezed her eyes and nodded with trembling lips. She tried her best to calm herself down and bandage Rex’s wound bit by bit.
When she came back to her senses, she finally understood what Rex had meant when he said the Glory Group was in danger.
“How long has Dad been like this?”
“It has been many years. It was being suppressed with medicine,” Rex said as he gritted his teeth.
Wendy kept taking deep breaths and felt very flustered in her heart. “Did Mom move to our house because of this?”
Rex didn’t say anything, which meant that he had admitted to it.
“Take Dad to the best hospital. Maybe the best skills can cure him.”
“It’s not that I haven’t taken him there. I’ve used the best medicine, but he just hasn’t recovered yet.”
A terrifying idea suddenly came to her mind, but Wendy quickly denied it. She shook her head and said, “Absolutely not.”
Rex asked, “What do you mean, absolutely not?”
Only then did she realize that she had spoken her mind. She immediately waved her hand and said, “It’s nothing. It’s just that before we went out… Dad was fine. Why did he become like this as soon as they came back?”
Rex sighed, hugged her, and gently stroked her hair. “It’s all right. He’ll get better. Dad still has to see his grandson’s birth, right?”
“If dad… doesn’t get better… Rex…”
Rex let go of Wendy and wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. “Don’t worry, He will get better.”
Wendy looked into Rex’s eyes and suddenly doubted Cassie’s words.
Whether he loved her or not she knew best in her heart. No matter how stupid Rex was, he would not have exposed himself so much. He had always been meticulous and ruthless when doing things. If he wanted to use her heart, she would not have lived until now.
Before the truth came out, she decided not to make any action actions first and see what movements these people would make.
Rex was afraid that Wendy would be worried, so he sent her home first.
As soon as Wendy returned home, she saw that there was an additional hanger in her room. There was a long dress hanging on the hanger and it was full of diamonds, which shone dazzlingly under the light.
She had never seen such a beautiful dress or worn such dignified jewelry, so she couldn’t help feeling a little happy.
Women needed to be coaxed after all.
“Mrs. Gavyn, these are the clothes that Young Master has prepared for you for the anniversary celebration. Do you like them?” Clare called and asked.
Wendy nodded repeatedly and said, “I’m satisfied, I’m already very satisfied.”
“That’s good. Please go ahead with your work. I’ll hang up first.”
“Okay.”
Wendy slowly approached and couldn’t help touching it out of curiosity. She was so happy as if she had eaten honey.
This man was quite romantic.
For the Glory Group anniversary celebration, he had been preparing for it for almost five months. He had even invited all the socialites in Jena City to attend. It was obvious that it was going to be a big event.
In two weeks, it would be the anniversary celebration. Rex suddenly told her that he would dance and sing with her at that celebration.
Wendy was already inharmonious with her body, so she knew nothing about dancing. She would rather die than dance.
“I… I don’t know how to dance.” Wendy looked embarrassed. “Why don’t you find someone else?”
Rex raised his eyebrows. “Then… Do you want me to dance with another woman in my arms?”
“I don’t want it!” Wendy blurted out before biting her lip. “I can do it.”
“Oh? How are your preparations going?” Rex asked.
Wendy glanced at him and said, “Can you teach me?”
“Then I need tuition fees.” Rex smiled.
Fine.
“How much is the tuition? I’ll pay you.”
Rex almost couldn’t hold back his laughter. This woman was too cute.
“You can pay me slowly. I’ll teach you when you get home from work.”
“Oh.” Wendy looked at Rex in confusion.
Rex watched as Wendy returned to her seat and held her forehead. It seemed that the saying that a pregnant woman would become stupid was not false.
His little wife was getting Less and less intelligent. He was extremely worried about his child’s IQ now.
Wendy returned to her seat and opened the recruitment advertisement from the personnel department. Daisy’s job had not been settled for a long time, and she was anxious. Even if she couldn’t be a designer, she had to find a decent job. She couldn’t always go to places like bars.
She was going to get married in the future. Even if she was just singing, people would gossip about her.
Wendy sketched the advertisement and found that the marketing department had a public image that was quite suitable for Daisy. It was just that the work intensity was a little higher, but the salary was not low. Compared with designers, it was more than enough.
Moreover, the marketing department was only one floor away from her design department, so it was convenient for her to take care of her. Daisy didn’t take her work seriously and didn’t know to call her to ask about it.
It had been so many days, but she hadn’t sent her a text message.
